Howto learn AppleScript

Having my iBook for 25 months now, I just understand a few weeks ago how powerfull the idea of AppleScript is. While the next version of OS X v10.4 “Tiger” brings some nice features, like spotlight, I think any OS that will satisfy the needs of real alpha-geeks will never come out-of-the-box, but is capable of beeing highly adapted to the personal needs. No, I’m not talking about choosing different desktop-backgrounds and sound effects.

The power of using 3rd party applications together with AppleScript can lead to an OS that will exactly do what you want it to do. What-you-put-together-is-what-you-need.

A good way to start is learning AppleScript by reading the AppleScript Language Guide”. Also available as (PDF-Download, 2.6 MB, 415 pages).
