Moblogging with Picoblogger
Nice things in life most time happens outdoors - not in front of my 12″ when browsing the web. Remember: Get out - Get a life. Picostations Picoblogger offers moblogging with the touch of a few buttons. The Website of Picostation has the worst programmed slowest Flash-animation, I’ve ever seen but Safari is smart enough to offer the possibility to interrupt the flash-animation - well done (safari, not picostation). Warning: I guess the flash-animation will lead to an explosion on Wintel-machines using a dial-up-connection.
I’ve setup picoblogger to blog to a blogger-account, I’ve created for that purpose. Unfortunately Picoblogger is unable to post to this blog (powered by Wordpress). Very strange, since it supports MovableType.
Travis wrote that he was able to setup picoblogger for WordPress using the BloggerAPI.
There is another (java-based) program called MIDlog by Daniel Rocha. MIDlog is able to connect to wordpress blogs, offers category-support etc. but I was unable to get it to work. Daniel mentioned that a new MIDlog version will be out in June (this year) - where is it? Make it Shareware! I’ll buy it!
I hope to see a working moblog/wordpress-solution soon, since I don’t want to have two different blogs. Already made a feature request to the picostation-people.
