Which one should I buy? iBook vs. Powerbook Comparison Table
Today Apple upgraded its iBook-Product line. Even when some of you are disappointed because there’s no widescreen 14″ iBook, I think the current update will be the last before the ‘new’ (Intel-based) iBook and Powerbooks come out. The difference to a powerbook is now the smallest ever.
So which one to get? They all have Airport Extreme, Bluetooth, USB 2, Firewire …
To make the decision easier take a look at my updated ‘iBook vs. PowerBook Comparison Table’ (PDF, 39 kB).
If you find any mistakes drop me a short comment so I can get it fixed. If you really want to have dollars not euro and ask more than twice, maybe I can get that fixed also.
To answer the above question: Hmm… for me the most important factor is battery life and it seems that the iBook beats the powerbook. My personal favourite is the 12″ iBook. Get a screwdriver, plugin a bigger HD and a SuperDrive. Then apply the ‘Dual-Spanning-Doctor’ hack to have Dual-Screen support and be lucky.
If you need DVI or PC-Card, the choice is pretty limited (PowerBook).

Great post. Thanks for the PDF.
It would be great if you could add US dollars to the document.
Cheers
