Ok guys, you accused us of cheating, scamming, phishing, terrorism and even stolen candies but at the end of it we’re OUT with the First OpenSource Platform for Volume Encryption on MacOs X (aka ‘Look, mom! Truecrypt on my Macbook!’). Having the opportunity to not trust FileVault has never been so sweet…

Link: www.osxcrypt.org

A team of programmers finally did it: Truecrypt seems to be available on Mac OS X, and this means that you can now encrypt data or even whole disks using TrueCrypt - no matter what Operating System you’re running!

Goodbye $teve/Apple with your proprietary encryted .dmg-files :-)

Never heard of TrueCrypt? Check it out! - and make sure to support TrueCrypt & OSXCrypt with a few Euros, since it is released as OpenSource (= for free) but even programmers need to eat (sometimes).

You can also checkout the Video-Tutorial - the background says “Don’t Trust Him!”, the english is also funny…

I’m the guy in the video ;)
You seem to have missed the “Italians Do It Better” in the upper right corner ;)

And while the board puns were intentional the english was not: it’s just the best I can do with english as a second language ;)

    Happy Secrets!

Cool - I have the comment of a Video Star in my blog :-)

Of course I saw the “Italians Do It Better” - also in the filename.

    Great Work! :-)
